Caravan Roof Vents

Heat rises, and in a small space like a caravan or a motorhome that's not a good thing on a hot day. The solution is one or more roof vents, to allow all that hot air to escape and cooler air to replace it from below.

Roof vents come in various sizes, to suit everything from the smallest campervan up to the largest US RV.

Some vents are basic with a manual open/close facility, others include an electric fan which may or may not be thermostat controlled. Sometimes the fan speed and direction and be changed. Some vents even close automatically if they detect rain, meaning you can go to bed without fear of returning to find your motorcaravan flooded.

Some roof vents have an opaque top, others translucent, still others clear. Many have one or both of a flyscreen and/or a blackout blind. Most can be cracked open at the rear for ventilation while driving without fear of forcing water in as you travel.
