This optional kit allows the entire Thule Omni-Bike Lift range (i.e. Omni-Bike Lift Manual , Omni-Bike Lift Motor & Omni-Bike Lift Burstner -specific) to mount to a motorhome or caravan with a high top rail, by effectively increasing the height of the Omnistor Omni-Bike Lift to reach it.
This is necessary with some taller caravans and motorhomes. As standard, the Omni-Bike Lift mountings are adjustable between 70cm-95cm vertically, i.e. a vertical distance of 70cm-95cm between the lower mounting points and the upper mounting points. This extension kit is used to extend that gap from 95cm to 150cm, where necessary.
To quote the Omnistor catalogue "If the mounting height is more than the standard height, you can order a set of extra long arms as an option (for a height of up to 1.50m)" [i.e. this product].
