Vango Air Awning

Building on the well-deserved success of its award-winning range of inflatable tents using patented AirBeam technology, Vango introduced the first of its AirAway range of inflatable driveaway awnings for campervans and motorhomes in 2013. These awnings were the original Kela and Sapera, and they sold in huge numbers.

In 2014 Vango brought AirBeam technology to caravan owners with the Sanna and Varkala air awnings, forever removing the need to battle with cumbersome metal tubing when assembling a caravan awning.

Vango took another huge leap forward in 2015 when they updated the Kela and Sapera to be Kela II and Sapera II. These new models build on the success of their 2013/2014 predecessors, but introduce new-style AirSpeed valves in a new position for easier inflation, and connecting side doors. The Idris was simultaneously introduced, dimensionally similar to Kela and Kela II, but made of lighter material and in a different colour scheme to provide an entry level awning at a price-point competing with many poled units.

The larger family is well catered for with the Attar 380 and Attar 440 also being introduced. These innovative AirAway awnings use the 420D RipStop polyester from the best-selling Varkala 420, provide a huge amount of living space outside the van, and are capable of sleeping four adults in two separate bedrooms and still retaining living space. Caravan owners have not been forgotten in 2015 either, as the Sanna has been replaced by the improved (and all-new) Braemar. The original Varkala has been updated to Varkala II, which means the same new AirSpeed valves and location that Kela II and Sapera II enjoy, the addition of full mesh side doors and windows, and rock pegs included as standard to guarantee trouble-free pitching on even the firmest of surfaces.
