Dry-Cell (Alkaline) Batteries - CES
A dry-cell battery (as opposed to a wet-cell leisure battery) represents a safe and convenient source of power. Very lightweight, easy to carry and (generally!) easy to change; it's always worth carrying a few spares as a flat battery in the wrong gadget at the wrong time can really spoil your fun!
Alkaline batteries have a long life and are therefore ideally suited to camping. They are designed for high-drain applications (of which there are many). Typical uses include portable radios, digital cameras, electronic games, MP3 players, toys, battery lanterns etc.
